Mission
To be a qualified, trusted and respected local faiths and community-based coalition that provides guidance and inspiration to our society in the area of respecting and celebrating religious and cultural diversity.
Objectives
- To preserve, promote and celebrate Sabah’s unity and rich religious and cultural diversity.
- To foster better mutual understanding and mutual respect among various communities of different religious and cultural backgrounds and perspectives.
- To facilitate closer collaboration among different religious and cultural communities in helping each other to address their own or common social challenges.
- To act as a unified voice to counter hate speech against any religious group or ethnicity.
- To contribute in consultations and engagement processes to improve public policies relating to unity in diversity based on principles of fairness, justice and equality.
Values
In 2019, the community partners succesfully led the first community-organised Malaysia Day celebration at Padang Merdeka, Kota Kinabalu. On that night, they made a declaration of their values and dreams for the land of Sabah entitled ‘Kita Satu’.
